“Listen to your life. See it for the fathomless mystery it is. In the boredom and pain of it, no less than in the excitement and gladness: touch, taste, smell your way to the holy and hidden heart of it, because in the last analysis all moments are key moments, and life itself is grace.” Frederick Buechner

"addyeB" is more than just a nickname given to me by a loved one. It's an identity that fully embodies who I am as a writer, artist, mother, and wife committed to living transparently and in the service of others.

In particular, this space is a collection of my words and art as well as my thoughts on social justice issues based upon my lived experience as an Other. It is a testament to how I've transformed the brokenness in my life into beauty and power, using growth and healing to discover who I am in the process. It is where I own my story, my voice, and dare to amplify it as authentically as I can.

It hasn't always been this way, and there are times I'm still working through what it means to own my voice, but I'm owning who I am-and that is everything.
